Opt-Out/Insurance Waiver

The waiver deadline for returning students ended 02/13/2026. The online waiver system can no longer accept waiver requests.

If you do not want the Student Health Insurance Plan, you must decline or opt-out of coverage by submitting a waiver. You may only opt-out of coverage during the following Waiver Periods:

2025 - 2026 Academic Year: 06/23/2025 - 09/19/2025

2025 - 2026 Spring/Summer Term: 11/10/2025 - 02/13/2026

All full time domestic students plus all international students must have health insurance. Students are automatically enrolled in the school accident/sickness plan when they register. Students may waive the school's insurance if they can provide proof of comparable coverage. Health insurance waivers are to be completed each academic year – that’s fall semester through summer sessions.

Waiver Requirements
  1. Must be active throughout the academic year or duration of study.
  2. Must cover medical expenses incurred for both accidents and illness at a minimum of $250,000 per policy year.
  3. Must have no exclusions for pre-existing conditions
  4. Repatriation expenses in the amount of no less than $50,000.
  5. Expenses associated with the medical evacuation to the insured’s home country of no less than $50,000.
